The coffee shop occupies a noble spot near one of the main relics of the country - temple, built in the year 919. Over two million people visit the temple every year. One- and two-storied buildings in a traditional Japanese style are erected on the way. The architects' task was to create an appearance that would make the coffee house fade into the existing landscape and at the same time stand out with its uniqueness.
The Starbucks Coffee building is constructed of 2,000 wood beams, the length of which varies from 1.3 to 4 meters. If you lay all the beams in a single line, you will get a 4.4 km long bar. Their diagonal structure creates an effect of directionality, consecution. The coffee house resembles a cave of a modern man.
